Account deactivation & deletion
What happens to accounts that never confirm an email address, and how to restore one before it's gone for good.
Confirming your email address is the one thing every SuiteVenues account has to do. Accounts that never get around to it are eventually cleaned up — with plenty of warning along the way.
If you never confirm your email
When you sign up, we send a confirmation link to your email address. If it goes unclicked, here's the timeline:
- Reminders first. Starting about a week after you sign up, we email you reminders that your account still needs a confirmed email — including a clear warning before anything happens to it.
- Deactivated at 30 days. If your email is still unconfirmed 30 days after registration, the account is deactivated: you're signed out and your profile and listings come off the site.
- Permanently deleted at 90 days. If the account is still unclaimed 90 days after registration, it's permanently deleted along with its data.
Note: Phone verification is separate. Verifying a phone number unlocks venue management, but only an unconfirmed email puts an account on this timeline.
Restoring a deactivated account
Deactivation isn't the end. Every reminder email we send includes a personal restore link that keeps working right up to the 90-day mark. Clicking it confirms your email, brings your account back exactly as it was, and signs you in — all in one step.
Haven't been deactivated yet? Even simpler: click the confirmation link in any of our emails, or sign in and resend it from the banner on your dashboard.
What "permanently deleted" means
Once an account passes the 90-day mark, it — and everything attached to it — is removed for good and can't be recovered. You're always welcome back, though: just sign up again with the same email address and start fresh.
