Messaging your host
Your inbox at a glance — starting conversations, keeping details on the record, and staying safe.
Good events start with good communication. SuiteVenues has a built-in, real-time inbox so every conversation with a host, vendor, or organizer stays in one place.
Starting a conversation
Look for the Message button — it's on every public venue page, vendor page, and booking detail page. Your first message opens the thread; after that, the whole conversation lives in Messages (in your account menu, or at /messages).
Finding your way around
The inbox is a simple two-pane layout: conversations on the left, the open thread on the right. Search covers people, venues, and events, so "the loft downtown" is enough to find the right thread. New messages arrive in real time, and the unread badge in the navigation keeps count.
Why keep it on SuiteVenues
- Everything's on the record. Dates, prices, promises about the space — if it's in the thread, there's no he-said-she-said later.
- Your contact details stay yours. No need to hand out your phone number or email to book a space.
- It's tied to your bookings. Message a host right from a booking's page and the context travels with you.
Tip: Before you send a request, a quick message asking about your specific date and headcount can save everyone a round trip.
If something feels off
You can report a message or block a user directly from the thread. For anything serious, see Report a problem.
