Manage booking requests

For hosts Updated August 2026 2 min read

Every booking waits for your yes. Reviewing requests, accepting or declining, and what happens after.

Nothing books without your approval. Every request lands in your dashboard with the full picture, and you decide.

Reviewing a request

New requests appear at the top of your dashboard's bookings section and in the notification bell. Open one to see everything the organizer sent: the line items (space, hours or days, each add-on), event dates, location, guest count, their event details, and — before you commit to anything — your payout for this booking.

Accept or decline

Two buttons, no pressure tactics:

  • Accept request — commits the dates on your calendar and lets the organizer pay. Their payment confirms the booking.
  • Decline request — closes it out. You can include a message: let them know why, or suggest an alternative date.

Note: Pending requests don't block your calendar — only accepted and confirmed bookings do. That means you can weigh competing requests for the same date and accept the best fit.

After you accept

The organizer gets notified and their Pay now button unlocks. Once they pay, the booking flips to confirmed, the money lands via your Stripe account, and you'll both see the same itemized summary. If they have questions in the meantime, everything runs through Messages.

Answer quickly — it pays

Organizers usually send requests to more than one venue. Fast, friendly responses win bookings, and consistent replies build the kind of review history that ranks well in search.

If you need to cancel

Sometimes it's you whose plans change. Cancel from the booking page and the refund follows your cancellation policy — and when the situation warrants more generosity than your policy requires, contact us and we'll help make it right.
