How quote requests work

For vendors Updated August 2026 2 min read

Planners build a quote from your priced services and send it with their event details — you accept or decline.

On SuiteVenues, quotes start with the planner. They browse your profile, pick from the services you've priced, and send you a complete request — no back-and-forth just to get a number on the table.

What the planner sends

Your public page carries a quote builder fed by your Services & pricing. The planner assembles it:

  • The services they need, with quantities where that applies — the quote total updates as they go
  • Their event date, start and end times, and guest count
  • The event address — street, city, state, and ZIP are all required, since you travel to them
  • Optional notes about the occasion and anything you should know

They see your prices plus their 5% service fee before sending, so the request that reaches you is from someone who already knows the cost.

Responding

Quote requests work exactly like venue booking requests: they land in your dashboard and notification bell, you review the line items, dates, location, and your payout, and you accept or decline (optionally with a message suggesting an alternative). Accepting lets the planner pay; their payment confirms the job. The full flow is covered in Manage booking requests.

Tip: The event address is in the request — check the drive before you accept, and fold travel into your service prices for the areas you serve.

Getting paid

Payment goes directly to your Stripe account, minus your 5% success fee — the same math as venues, worked through in Vendor fees and payouts. After the event, planners can review you and add a tip, and tips are 100% yours.

Not taking requests right now?

Unpublish your profile (or leave services unpriced) and your page shows planners you aren't accepting online quotes yet. Republish when your calendar opens back up.
